Breaking Free of Addictions

Enough

Clawing for another light
is a capital offence
a never-ending sentence
Of orange punctuation.

Drawing out this final puff
into the infinite abyss,
Alone on some rocky crag,
night beckons like an empress,
and softly cries, “Enough!”

Idylle

Waking up each morn,
What outer light distracts you
Robbing you of dreams?

Centred in chaos,
Forget & keep forgetting!
Smiling you forgot.
