The Breath (Rumi)

Last night beneath the crescent moon,
A breath came, saw you and then carried on.
Another will be coming soon;
Be sure to catch it ere it too is gone.

  6. I'll catch it! I'm a dream moon catcher...

  7. Waves at Tamara. Thanks for dropping by. :^)

And thank you Param and Jach for making such a lovely story out of it! Though of course it was the breath we were supposed to be catching and not the moon, lol.

I've now added three more photos to give the story a more uplifting ending. Is that better?

  8. how about this a young girl dreams of the moon n see's a face their hidden in dark shadows ..it calls to her ..hearing voices from her long time ancestorsghostly calls ..the druids chanting a spell in the early hours till late at night where she falls into a deep midsummer dream long ago ..where 2 lovers meet on a lake ...she sits waiting for her lover to come keeping vigiltill once awakened by the nudge of cool cream light ..so pure she hears its call ....sitsupon her lovers edge to read her poetry for him of her hearts plight in answer the lover sends a star to show his love n how it glows so bright for her as she reached his heart n beyond to fill the heavens with her touch ...giggle yup jus lost my mind all the way :)

  13. Yep, fire, you got the idea! I was thinking along the same lines... except it need not be love... it could be wisdom or inspiration or luck or... then again it could be Love, or it could be purpose or it could be Life itself, the breath of fire that wakes us up from slumber and makes us truly alive.

"Don't worry about what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and do that. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive." (Howard Thurman)

Here's to the little dreamer sitting on the rooftop and watching the night sky!

  15. I'd never heard that before... but isn't that amazing! I just read a fascinating blog the other day about the energy of places which really had me thinking... you'd be interested in it too!
    http://lilleke80.multiply.com/journal/item/67/Power_sites

Perhaps that was the reason for the stones, something to do with the energy of the land. And as to how they got there, I read that there were over two thousand years between the initial plans and the final completion, what persistent effort to put the stones in place... they obviously knew why, and yet to us it is a mystery. So interesting indeed, and I really ought to visit one day soon. Though I think they're fenced off so you can't walk right up to them... if so, that's a real pity.

  16. I came across this photo on Hille's site, whose blog I just linked to, from one of her posts a few weeks back. So thanks are to her!

  17. Are they watching, or are they playing or are they teasing, or are they trying to wake her up, lol. I see one whispering in her ear, another holds a lamp, but still she sleeps. Only later when she keeps vigil can she see the fairy magic.

  18. I was wondering what bird she holds in her arms, but apparently it's a helmet and she is a Norse warrior goddess. Though there is a bird associated with her and it is the raven.

  19. And apparently the raven is a symbol of something special and unexpected about to happen, like the breath passing by maybe? Or the falling star, which her good luck fairy will catch and bring to you, dear reader, whoever you may be. :^) There, now I'm the one who got thoroughly carried away, lol.

  20. All beautiful, but this one! The moon shines on the woman as though it only touches her directly...

  21. I always get carried away about things like this n always romantic side of it ...how odd...i like your persepctive much better okei a wide range of possibilities.....
hhhmmm i am not sure if they r or not i know last year madonna was there n touched them with her hands she has a home video of it actually so they must have fenced it off since then ....thats so sad but yet understanding as we r made up mostly of water n have salt in our sweat so it does tend to speed up erosion .....i hope u get to see it soon n maybe even get to touch it...let me know if u do ...n tell me what it felt like .......
